CALM DOWN!...
LOL!
Seriously...
Years ago, I heard about this "low frequency" system, called " The ButtKicker " , which gets mounted to a chair...
...and it is supposed to allow users to "Feel the Action" of movies, video games, live sporting events, ETC.
I have never had the pleasure to experience this tech in action, myself... So, I don't know what it would be like to experience it, in all it's "glory"...
Home Theaters have always been very popular, and since DVDs came out in the late 1990s, the desire for Home Theaters have increased dramatically...
I have read that Ginger would show her movies to her friends at her home, upon request... and I would think, that many of her films were shown with a film projector... so, I would imagine that she would have some kind of a "Movie Room", or "Movie Area" to be able to do that...
I am sure that Ginger would have loved to have had what we would call a "Home Theater" today, back in her day...
Imagine what hers would have looked like, with Gingery Posters & Personal Memorabilia, and all kinds of decorative artwork that she would have done herself...
...And then topping off the movie watching experience, with snacks & Ice Cream Sodas ...
But, would she have enjoyed sitting on a chair that would "kick" her in the butt, every time there was an explosion on screen?
Who knows... But, first, she would have to be willing to see a movie that featured such things... And I am not sure if she would...
But, at the very least, I would have loved to have been able to ask this legendary actress, what she would have thought about movie fans being about to use such technology to enjoy modern films...
On Star Trek, they had these rooms call Holodecks/Holosuites that would allow anyone to recreate anything in a real interactive 3D lifelike environment...
Wouldn't it be cool, if someday, we could load the movie "Top Hat" into a holodeck, and take on Fred Astaire's role, and attempt to actually dance with Ginger "Cheek To Cheek"?...
Unfortunately, I think Ginger might find that to be mind-boggling, and possibly unsettling...
