Favorite "Storm Warning" Moments & Scenes (Possible Spoilers) My favorite scene in the move, is right after... Lucy Rice (Doris Day) finally realizes what a monster Hank Rice (Steve Cochran) really is, and decides to leave him... and Marsha Mitchell ( Ginger Rogers) who spent most of the movie in torment, about having to lie about what she saw when the KKK killed the prisoner...and dealing with Hank himself, in order to protect her sister's happiness... is finally free to tell the truth to satisfy her conscience and do the right thing!.. Marsha summons up all her anger into one furious moment and tells Hank, that no matter what, she is no longer going to hide the truth from everyone. Ginger's acting performance in this moment was so believable to me, that I truly thought she really was furious at Steve's character. You can even see tears welling up in her eyes! The first time I saw this moment, I was actually uncomfortable and wanted to leave the room. In fact, it still gets to me whenever I see the scene. As most of know, Sweet Little "Virginia", frequently lived is a world of "fantasy", involving Puppy Dogs, Dancing, and Ice Cream Sodas. I have no idea what Ginger tapped into to achieve this amazing performance, but I think she should have won an award for it... And on the whole, I think this film was one of the best of her career. It's certainly in my top 5 favorites!
