Ginger was Beautiful & Sweet & Great in this role as always... But I do have a couple of complaints about other characters in the movie reacting to Sally... (Possible Spoilers...) . . . - In the middle of the movie, When two sailors come to her Taffy Booth, and Sally asks them if they know Baltimore, they start to ask a few descriptive questions about his appearance to her, and the questions seem as if they really do know him. Sally really starts to get her hopes up. When they finally say no they don't know him, Sally looks really crushed. Sally seemed like the nicest lady in the world, and should not have teased like that. I really felt sorry for Sally at that point. I really hope most people would NOT do that sort of thing today to people who have had loved ones go off to war. - I also didn't like how Dutch & Skeets, each, kept trying to pretend Sally was their girl, while Sally indicated to them that she loved Baltimore, and asked them to let Baltimore know... and then Dutch & Skeets kept trying to shack up with local girls at various ports, while Baltimore didn't. I am surprised Sally thought enough of them to kiss them goodbye. She even went to the trouble to honor them, as well as Baltimore, by hanging a three stars Service Flag Banner, claiming them all as " family", on her Taffy Booth... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_flag...What a couple of jerks, who didn't deserve her friendship.
